I got an 97 polaris 780, but it only goes 50mph, compared to one of my buddies Doo's that goes about 75, how can I beef it up for cheap??

theres somthing wrong with your sled i think you mean ultra680? that sled should do well past 50mph hell my 500 will do that speed no problem

Those triples are just too heavy (I think that's a triple?)... The hulls weigh a ton also, you'd be better off looking for a sea doo 96 XP or a 97 SPX, 115 horse power and weigh over 100lbs less. The money you would have to dump in that thing would not be worth it.

Friends of our family have a pair of Polaris 780's, a 2 up and 3 up. The 2 up had power trim, and i could never get the thing to do more than 52 mph on the digital speedo. My old Tigershark 1000 Daytona was fast, i had no prob getting 65 to 70mph out of it. Porting will help, but can be expensive. Shaved heads, better exhaust, high flow water intake and jet will work.
