well november and december started out great for snow here in TC,thought it was gonna turn out to be a spectacular winter....since january we had nothing but sleet and freezing rain even if the temps were in the single digits and teens.i take that back there were two seperate storms in january that gave us 6 to 8 inches but warmed up immediatly after and it all melted but i cant get over all this freezing rain and sleet....if we had all this moisture in snow we would be buried.

i dont know what the the old farts think but ive never seen or remember anything like this

Same here, we started out December thinking it was going to be an awesome winter. I thought, finally, a good year considering the last several winters sucked and it turned out to suck even worse. This is, without a doubt, the worst winter for snow I can remember in my lifetime. We had the same deal as you. Get snow, get rain, snow melts, get snow, get rain, snow melts. What made the winter worse for me is that someone put me onto Henrys blog. Watching his blog, getting all fired up for the BIG DADDY then getting rain was enough to drive me to the brink of insanity. My wife, at one point, was ready to smack me over the head. Next year has to be better.. right?

whatever happened to the big flakes of snow? most of the stuff we got this year was the tiny stuff. if it was snowing big flakes now, instead of this little stuff, we'd have a foot and a half on the ground.

yeah that the snow flakes were small because as soon as they would hit the ground the wind world blow them arcross the fields making it impossible to get to the state ground from my house.

I swear if all the precipitation would have been snow and it would have stayed the whole winter we would have had like 4-5 feet at the least

I wish we had more snow in PA too, but thats why I go to NY, 1600 miles this season , not too bad in my opinion, driving that far sucks , but it's worth it to me, see ya, ron

You're lucky if you did not experience the mid to late 1980's with NO Snow !

Well I can tell you this old fart was arround then and this year was the worst Ive ever seen also. As for the snow we got this year .......well crap, some good riding , but if you didnt go when it snowed, it was gone, then the base was gone too. Next year has got to get better, or ,,,,,or what, we'll say again the next year has got to be better. Maybe we should all move to minn. or further north, they say they dont have enough either, but riding 4-5 mo for them isnt enough either, nobody is ever happy, I know im not. See ya all next time it snows, hopefully Nov08 and stay till Apr09. Hows that for positive thinking. Hi Doug, I know youl be looking soon. You too Jerry. LOL
