I know there are some guys out there with non-slip extrovert drivers. Did you have to do any slide rail modification to use them or do they fit without any?

You have to cut off your rails.
I found the pitches between the involute/convolute teeth to be off some when measured on a comparator, which will lose some top end and could cause track/driver damage, I no longer use them, went with larger diameter standard involute drivers instead, I can run the track much looser than stock with no ratcheting.

Did you have your dealer press off the old and install the new or did you do it yourself? Where did you find these oversize involute drivers? I have an 06 FST switchback. Im thinking they might be hard to find for this sled.

I'm interested in finding some replacements as well. Both our 06's have worn out completely BUT polaris doesn't sell them. They want you to buy the whole damn driveshaft.

On the web look at avid products. They have combo drivers.

I have avid 10t drivers on my 08 FST Dragon with a reveresed 9" wheel kit and a 13.5x128x.725" w/1.175" studs when I ice run it and a 15x128x1.7" for off the trail. I had the extrovert part machined off and run them in the OEM place. No clearance issues. I pressed the old 9t drivers off and put the new ones on myself but I work at a dealership.

Couple questions for you.
Does avid not show pics of these on the web? The only ones i see appear to be 9 tooth if you count them in the picture.
If you cut the extrovert teeth off ( or did you just cut enough of each tooth off to eliminate clearance issues?) is the advantage to these drivers the larger diameter so there are more teeth driving. Also i take it the OEM place is over the track windows or directly in front of the slide rails, that is the only place i can see any clearance issues unless im missing something. Lastly did the larger wheels throw your speedo off at all?

I dont know if they show pics but I called them and ordered them. The OEM placement for the drivers in in front of the rails. Unless Avid changed thier drives since I bought them(2yrs ago) you cant run them over the windows on the new shafts(06-09) w/o machining them because the "hub" of the avid drivers is too wide to allow the driver to go far enough over on the PTO side. This is because the slpines for the drivers, on the driveshaft, dont go all the way to the PTO side the the driveshaft. If I didnt machine the extroverts off they would definatly hit the rails. I think the speedo if off because when I ran it at the radar run the radar speeds were higher than the speedo was reading and usually its the other way around.
