Hey guys has anyone raced these two sleds. FST switchback 06,07, or 08 and XP 800. Would like to hear from only those who have actually raced. Interested in results at 1000 ft.

I raced one and I dont own either. My friend was on his new xp 800 and I was on a demo Dragon Turbo. We went from a dead stop about 1000'. I beat him all the way to the end on the 4 stroke but he did say he came up in a wheelie and he had to get out of it. But I can say that I didn beat him and he never ran me down. The dragon just doesnt feel fast like the XP does but it goes real well for a heavy sled.

was at races a couple weeks ago. sno drags @ 600 feet. 2008 tnt with 1.5 ripsaw otherwise stock vs 08 fst switchback with pick's and i think the rest is stock. the tnt beat it easily in 600 feet. so 08 xp 600 sdi renegade would beat it because it beat the tnt, and my 800r would beat the sdi...I was very suprised at that tnt though, fast little sled, should have saved myself $4000 and bought a tnt. the fst does sound cool though, with the blow off valve and all......

Yes i also feel that the FST doesnt feel like its very fast but if you can get them too hook they really go. i have raced a lot and only lost once to an F8. his skis were about foot and a half in front of mine at the end, but that was the first day i had the sled and it needed some changes. I was pushing all the weight instead of transfering it. Goes good now , but he wont race me again now!
Anyway i havent raced an XP800 and was just curious, sounds like it might just get me, OH well im going to try anyway if i ever get the chance.

FST's look like big heavy pigs and sound like your cub cadet mower, but they do haul ass. I've raced many times with an F8 and my brother in law with his apex. I know your talking about XP's vs FST's here, but the FST's will beat an F8 9 times out of 10 and will beat an APEX in 1000 feet from time to time. They are very deceiving. My old F7 would beat them 10 of 10 times - no prob.

The FST will run with the fastest stock sleds out there. Very potent set up.
