Has anyone been down the Can am trail recently? A buddy and myself were thinking of heading to the Northwest Angle this weekend for a ride and some lunch at Grumpy's( is it still called Grumpy's).

If the trail is a shitfest then we'll probably head north instead. Going through Falcon then probably come up the snake lake trail on the way back.

Here's the latest trail report...looks like the Can-Am trail has been groomed recently but with a caution.

Status:

Feb 28--Groomed Voyageur Trail north to Double "S" and return to Woodridge.

Feb 29--Groomed Tomahawk Trail and Spurwoods Trail return to Woodridge via Voyageur Trail.

Mar 3--Groomed Voyageur Trail south to Can-Am to Moose Lake.

Mar 4--Groomed from Moose Lake to Buffalo Point and back. Then Groomed from Moose lake north on Can-Am to Railway near Falcon lake and return to Woodridge via Tin Pan Trail.

Mar 5--Groomed Tomahawk Trail to Voyageur south and feeder trail in and around town

RIDE WITH CAUTION

Please use caution when riding the Can Am trail from Margaret's Shelter north to Mile 86 which is about 2 miles North of the shelter due to widening the trail. There will be heavy equipment on the trail starting March 6th 2008 until further notice.

Grumpy's is now called Northpoint.

thanks for the info, looks like we'll be heading down there this weekend then. Should be an alright ride.

I was told that the trail north of harrison creek was bad for a few miles due to vehical traffic on it ( drillers) I was told 5 miles but have not confermed that.
