Well I put my SLP pipe on yesterday. Let me start out by saying I'm coming off of a 07 AC XFire 1000sp that was modded up pretty good and I'm very hard to please.

With that said I'll start out saying this pipe looks and fits GREAT. I followed the instructions, removed some of the insulation and did the heat tape thing. Siliconed up the pipe to can connection and let it dry 24 hours.

Went out today and did 107 miles. With the stock pipe my Dragon would load up when cruising at 30, 40-50, with this pipe it's next to gone, ever so slight and clears up quickly. I'm thinking I'll put the SLP air horn and flowrites on and that should clear up the loading up.

The first set of plugs I changed at 950 miles. The PTO side went out. It was black and wet, the mag side was dark brown and wet. Today I checked the plugs with 450 miles on them and both are dark brown and not wet. So it appears that they are running a little leaner and more evenly.

As far as gains, this is were I'm hard to please, there good, but then I always expect more and want more. The throttle response was much quicker/crisper and it pulled harder throughout. Top end I was getting 95 with 100 being the best with the stock pipe. With the SLP I was getting 97-103 on hardpack groomed trails ( I'm 280 bare assed). Looking to get 108-110

As far as sound, it's a bit louder than stock, a nice sound, tingier, but not to loud to attract the DNR.

All in all I'm VERY pleased with the fitment and quility of the pipe. Performance gains, there good, but then I need more so I'll be getting the SLP air horn and probably 4 flowrites and looking in to maybe some I think there MTX 65 weights and a different primary spring that SLP has recommended on the pipe instruction sheet.

So all you did was put the pipe on at this point? Stock 08 clutching, etc?

Yep, just the pipe. I'm turning 8150-8300. SLP claims 8200-8300 with their pipe. Going to order the SLP air horn and flowrites this week. I doubt I'll get a chance to try them out any more this year going to start getting warmer this week.

Got to do some research on the clutching. Whatever I go with I'll have it on for next season and maybe a 09 800 Dragon SP....that sled is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. Anyone want to buy my 06 Fusion 600HO.

Im surprised your not over revving with that pipe and stock clutching. Mine turns 8250 stock and I have read on here others that were turning 83-8500 with a pipe and stock clutching.

I think the true speed of this sled lies in the clutching myself but I am considering this pipe and silencer. For $511 shipped it has to be the best value considering their ceramic coated already.....
