I'm told my Secondary clutch is on its way out on my MXZ 800. Should I replace it with a Factory ( Ski -doo ) Clutch or a Aftermarket kit ?? Would the aftermarket clutch kit have any affect on performace? Would it last longer then the stock clutch ??

If you chose Aftermarket which brand name ?

exactly what is the problem with your clutch? i mean how is it going on it's way out? give a little more info and i'm sure i/we can help out.

The Clutch is squeeking heavily. Also, is almost like its slipping. I feel I'm losing a bit of performance like this as well.

Have you tried cleaning it lately ? take the belt off and wipe it down with some acetone and clean it off good and try it again and see maybe just a little oil film on the belt
C302
Yeah, I tried Cleaning it. I think the Secondary Clutch might be out of balance.

C302, recently I was able to test out a Team secondary on my 04 rev 600 hosdi. To say I really liked it would be an understatement! I went from getting my rear handed to me by my buddies 02 XC 800 with a fair amount of work done to it. When I lined up against him with the team on I killed him out of the hole, he said by about 20 yards and he did not pass me till about 85-90 mph. So if this is what it does for a 600, i would be really interested to see what it does for an 800. But now I am faced with a tough decision, cause there is a new secondary out called a PEM Hyperlite, which on dootalk is the big hype. The team costs 325, and the hyperlite is going for under 300. The fit and finish on the hyperlite looks awesome, and is supposed to run very cool. Cool enough that after running it, you can grab right on to it! So do I go with what I tested, or go with what people are saying is better then the team????? :banghead:
