I can buy an 07 for $7500 otd and the 08 is about a grand more. so my question is it worth the extra money to buy the 08? or should I just go with the 07? any info will be appreciated. thanks
zoso
That would depend on your situation. The 08 has some improvements but the 07 has a trunk that will hold a 5 liter gas can. 121 versus 128 skid, updated sway bar in front end. Do not forget to take into account paying interest on the 1000.00 for the entire term of the loan if you are financing it. Wait until next fall and the 07 may drop even more in price. Either way you go the Jag is a very nice sled you will not be disapointed.

No question, go with the '08. There were NUMEROUS updates in '08, well worth the extra grand. Do some research in this season's '08 sled reviews in most of the magazines, and you'll see the changes Cat made.

In my opinion save yourself the 1000.00 and buy the 07. Cat made all the updates on the 07 except the bigger swaybar. I rode both the 07 and 08 back to back and I couldn't tell the diff in the sway bars...not for a grand anyways.

Here are the 07 recalls make sure they are done on the 07-

I agree with mainecat. I purchased the "07 in January, and the only minor problem has been the sway bar, which I fixed very easily. For the $$, I feel like a got one hell of a bargain for this awesome trail machine :gasthrower

I have found many better deals on the 07 Jaguar with a couple dealers that I have been working with lately. I noticed your area and I am thinking you may have talked to the dealer in Mendota. Through personal experience I would pass on anything they had to sell, and especially service.

If you're set on the 07 (I really think you should look hard at the changes they made on the 08's, not all of them were just updates that could be done on the 07), try Brent at Triple E's over in Orion IL. Those guys are my heros, and they had a new 07 a few months ago. Ask for Brent or Stan, tell them Jim referred you.

I'm with you. I'm either going to pick up an '09 or try to find a left over '08 Z1. I really think I'm going to go the 4-stroke route.

Guys I have to admit having 2, 4 strokes (my Z1 and my wifes T660) is awesome. No more 2 stroke oil. I changed the Z1's oil in 15 minutes outside my camp. The filter is easy to get at as well as the drains.
Just having it nice and quiet is great.

Just rode 400 km today and the jag was flawless as usual over 5000 km this year and only minor shit when first new. If you want the best trail sled out there then don't hesitate. 575 lbs and I had to laugh as I left the boys behind, RX1 and edge, on trail that was heavily moguled out with seat up seated at all times and 7 year old daughter up front. This thing rides like my old eldorado but handles like my camaro.

I hate to beat this topic to death, but I am very close to pulling the trigger on a Z1, but which one? I can get a leftover '07 for around $7,000; try to find an '08 leftover for probably $8,100; or snowcheck an '09 for $9,600.

I know the '07 had the 121" track and large trunk + adjustable windshield, the '08 has the 128" track + deluxe gauge; the '09 LXR has 128" track, deluxe gauge, heated seat, tipped rails, larger gas tank and no payments until next March + 2 yr. warranty.

I've never even ridden one of these, but I hear so many good things about it and really want to go the 4 stroke route. I mostly trail ride and occasionally go off trail to play or ditchbang. If I went with the '07, I could always update the rear skid to 128" with the cobra track.

Please help me people. Thanks.

From what I've read & been told, the 2009s will rock on the trails and be even that much better than the 07 or 08s. Not just the 4 strokes, but the whole f-series line up. That tunnel tilt and the suspension "adjustments" will be worth the extra cha-ching IMO. A buddy is ordering the turbo and I'm going one more time on a 2-stroke (F8) only because I want more than the z1's 123hp but don't need the z1turbo's 177 hp ......

buy the 07 and ride it....its perfect and you save some big $$

You will be happy with any of them. If money isn't an issue, I think the '09 would be the way to go! The '07s had the most issues, but if you have a good dealer that took care of the updates...that won't be an issue.

I know I found the '08s more predictable on the trail then my '07, I'm not sure if that's from the chassis changes they made. Sounds like they tweaked it again in '09...probably even better.

They are all good....pull the trigger, you will be a happy camper!! LOL

If you can find and 08' then grab it. no change in the 09 from 08. I wouldn't buy a 07 , way too many updates . I ve ridden the 07 , the 128'' track along with the sway bar handles better !

The 09 has a lower cg due too the tipped chassis and the spindle are taller which flattens out the A-arms, those chages are going to make the sled corner flatter, more ZR like.

Have you ridden and 08 twin spar it allready out corners , out handles the old zr[ once you swap the carbide] I rode two 09's I couldn't tell much difference from the tipped chassis.
