A stump jumped out in front of my 2001 sxr 700 triple and dented the front bumper preety good. I need to get a new bumper, bottom hood skirt (?), and am thinking of throwing on a new skid plate and maybe some shock covers. I haven't looked at it real close yet but I think the hood is ok. If anything, maybe new hinges. Where are some good places I can get these items? Thanks for any info.

check ebay, there are always parts available there. Hopefully what you need will be.

Anyone know if a front bumper from a 2000 sxr 500 will fit a 2001 sxr 700?

what's the bottom part of the hood called? I can't seem to find a diagram of bady parts. the hood is o.k. but the bottom part (that the hood latches to) might need replaced. I referred to it as a "hood skirt"... is this correct?

??? You mean the belly pan?

i think you are looking for #91 in the first diagram.
Desc: PANEL, SUB FRAME 1
Part #: 8CR-21912-11-00
Cost New: $66.59

What number is it, must be on one of these:

Or are you talking about the hinge #32 & #33 in the second diagram?

91 Looks like the skid plate... that is o.k. on my sled. The part (s) I'm talking about almost looks like 35. I did purchase new hinges and a screen kit that I found on ebay and I also found a new front bumper that I bought. The only damaged part left that I need is the is the bottom part that the hood clamps to. Like the side panels or something. Thanks for the diagram though... I found that on the yamaha website but couldn't identify the part (s) that I'm talking about.

Sorry the part number in my first post should have said #32, but anyway it doesn't sound like that is what you are looking for.

#35 is one if the plastic belly pan sides. Like in the picture below (red arrow). Blue arrow is part #32.
