Rymann, I run a set of Renthal (7/8") bars, Renthal Part # 810-01. They are actually for a YFZ 450 Quad, but have similar dimensions to the stock Phazer bar with a higher rise (~1in.) The bars will require you to install a throttle extension cable. I don't think you will be able to avoid this if you run the stock riser height. You could possibly mill down the riser about an inch to relieve the tension in the cable but you may run into fitting issues if you have a windshield of any height.
I had posted on another thread that I did not require a throttle cable extension. Unfortunately, I found out last weekend that when I turned hard to the right, my sled began speeding up with no throttle input. As well the T.O.R.S. activated causing a knarly hesitation when the bars were cranked to the right. I had the throttle cable routed as efficiently as possible but it still didn't work very well, hence the need for the extension. As far as all the other cabling and brake line, they all fit with no issues. Just the throttle cable is tight.
Hope this is the type of info you are looking for! Later!

Rymann, contrary to popular belief, you can reuse the factory handlbar grip/warmers. You will have to destroy your stock bars to do so. Simply leave about an inch of bar extending past the wire end of the bar warmers and clamp that inch into a vice. Take a butane torch and heat the inside of the bar warmers while simultaneously twisting the grip warmers. Before you twist you, of course, will have to remove the two rivets holding on the grips. The glue will release allowing you to twist off the factory grips. To ensure you have not damaged them, simply do a continuity test on the bar warmers....you should get about 2.3-2.5 ohms resistance on them. As far as installing them on my Renthal bars, I simply drilled holes and installed new rivets. I did not use any glue as I did not see the need as the Renthal bars have a pretty aggressive knurling on each end of the bar. I have the factory bar warmers installed on new Renthal bars and they work just as good as they did on the stock bars. I don't have any pictures of the removal process...this is the best I can do!
