Hey there,

If you haven't heard of us, NEK Drag Racing and Lyndon Sno Cruisers Snowmobile Club in Lyndon Vermont has put on 4 races this year so far and the last one is this Saturday.

Check out the aerial of the race site and you can check our club info in my signature. We hold 14 classes, in order (500 Stock, 600 Stock, 700 Stock, 120 cc, 800 Stock, OPEN, 900 Stock, 1000 Stock, 1000 Mod, 900 Mod, 800 Mod, 700 Mod, 600 Mod and 500 Mod).

We run double elimination format, must be registered (at least 500-700 Stock) by 10:15 am -races start 10:30 am. There is a TECH session -so you know the drill, if it's been modified much of anything off the showroom you must race in a mod class. We are an ISR affiliated club so there's are the rules we follow.

Cash is paid out to 1st-3rd places (max $100 1st) -maybe more sponsors next year brings bigger pot. Paid out at end of race day unless you need to leave.

Track is 2 lanes 40' wide with 12"+ deep ice for first 150', remaining track is packed snow for 660' course with a 1000' runout, return lane and warmup area. All trailers have a "pit row" on far side of track to reduce spectator intervention. Parking in total for event is about 3 acres. Stock classes get to use 20' of track, then OPEN and Mod classes have free choice of lanes.

This is year #2 for us and this is the only organized snowmobile drag racing in the State of Vermont. Hope you decide to visit us this weekend or sometime in the future. The race course is in the heart of some of the best riding in New England, certainly VT. Right now trails have about 2' base and if you get off packed trail you are soon in 3'-5' of snow.

One last thing -high points gets special trophy in each class so keep that in mind for next year!

Sorry, due to weather softening the track we are unable to hold the race today. Next week is calling for cold and snow so the "rain date" is next Saturday March 15
