We are thinkin of going up late march, around the 26th. conditions permitting of course. When does the schedualled grooming stop for the year? going between shawin and charlavioux<---spelled wrong i no. been told that "if there's snow , they groom" but would hate to travel up for 5 days just for bumps and ice. Any one that has experience with late season riding or groomer operators, need to here fom you. thanks, rich

You would need to speak to Mother Nature for the answer. When you ride late season you're limited to specific areas so forget any saddlebag type trips, most of the province stops grooming by the second week in March but certain areas groom late season.
It's way to early to plan for the 26th. Wait till the 24th to plan your destination and if you don't mind driving I'm sure you'll find some awsome riding. The long range forcast looks promising but who knows????I would say Mt. Valin would be a sure thing, but call ahead.

thanks bernard, will do. Just sucks that they end early with all this snow this year, and , to top it off, there were a bunch of closed trails this year as well =ing less to groom. I understand the groomers work hard, just leaves an bad feeling as to were the priority lies with the "clubs" is it the snowmobilers that take proirity or someones pockets? Starting to think some of them just like the cash and to hell with us.
Had a couple uneasy feelings visiting some of the club houses this year. The people that worked there were unknowledgable about local trails, conditions ect. Just wanted my money for food. Things are definatly changeing.
