Just got it back from the dealership where they repaired wiring to the bars which had burned out. Took it out yesterday on a nice ride. Back home where I backed it into the driveway. Realized that the backup signal was not there. Turned it off. Then was going for another ride and now it won't start at all. On the first turn of the key, nothing happening. Second turn, the engine turns over but that is it. Checked the fuses and all look OK. Checked the relays and don't feel anything going through them.

Need some advice on this. Have had nothing but problems with this particular sled. My DW has identical and we have never had any problems with that one.

It might be a couple things. Since you get no reverse buzzer I would first look at the wires that go between the buzzer and the switch. The switch is located behind (towards the rear of the sled, not towards the engine) the brake disc near the base of the reverse lever linkage. Make sure they are all connected and not worn.

Second: Take out all 4 relays and warm them up. Take them inside and let them dry out (by a fire if possible). Put them back in the sled and see if that takes care of it.

Third: There may be moisture in one or more of the wire harnesses. Start with the harness that the dealership just installed. Disconnect both ends, spray WD-40 on both harnesses, coat the tops of the terminals with dielectric grease and reconnect.

If none of those work it's possible that the new handlebar control wires are faulty.

Is the throttle froze open a bit? Mine freezes the throttle quite often and I work it loose then it is fine never sticks but you can hear relays that click once the throttle is closed.

Make sure when you turn the key to the on position that you hear the fuel pump running. If not check the wires by the steering column. When the sled turns over but will not start it is normally a problem with the RC circuit.

On Saturday, my '06 T660 ST would not start after sitting in the garage for about a week. It just turned over, there were no instrument lights, and it just wouldn't start. After talking to our local Arctic Cat mechanic and checking all fues, relays, modules, wiring, everything he told us to check, we saw that a ground to the battery snapped off. My husband fixed it (soldered) and then it started just fine and I haven't had a problem since.
