Why is Cat not offering this from the factory as spring order only? I'm not that excited about having to add thousands in parts to an brand new machine, when the cost from the factory should be less than $1,000.

If they want these to be seen as Performance Machines they aren't doing themselves any favours by not offering them. How hard is it to sell an version of the Z1 and Z1 Turbo with Sno-Pro Suspension on Spring order Only? The turbo is already so expensive it doesn't need to be thousands more. In Canada if I want to make an Sno-Pro Turbo, take the $14,300 add $2,000 in shocks and $500 for an 1.25 Cobra track plus labour, call it $3,000 making the sled $17,300.... Should be an $1,000 option from the Factory like other Sno-pro's

Quite honestly If I have to build it myself at $3,000 it's enough for me to not want to get one. Unless my dealer pulls an Rabbit out of his hat and will do it for the $1,000 difference.

For those who want one start making your thoughts known with your dealer. Cat has been known to add models at the last second before spring order is done. We can do it!

BTW Cat if you are going to do this, do it with an Base turbo. It's heavy enough already, we don't need IRP, just adds weight. I had it on my F1000 and maybe changed it once

I for one would like to see one. I would love the Z1 Turbo with Floats, 1.5 in. track. With that much weight, you will probably need stiffer shocks and with that much torque, you will need that much more hook-up.

I did see, however, if you get the LXR version it comes with IFP shocks and a 1.25 lug track.

I am considering snow checking a Z1 and that is My only reservation. No SnoPro package. Why not????

My guess is that this being an introductory year with the turbo, they decided to leave it as is. My guess is that by 2010 they will have worked out many of the bugs it's bound to have and will offer a much better turbo with the Snopro as an option. I'm seriously thinking about a 2010 turbo to replace my F1000 SP, which I absolutely love BTW.

My only reservation in buying a turbo z1 is the fact is has no fox floats on it. I don't really care if it is a 1.25 or a 1.375 track, I just want the fox floats. I currently own a 2007 F1000 SP and absolutely love the ride, and I hate the thought of buying a sled with springs again. I know if I wait a year, they will come out with it, but I hope they do it now, or soon. who cares about the Boss seat option, give me fox floats!

Probably because it will be the heaviest trail sled you can buy and A/C doesnt want to market it as a ditch banging style sled.

my next sled may be a z1 turbo but will not get floats on it. would rather ride with ryde fx shocks then floats. upgrading to ohlins or a better shock would be worth it in the long run.

The reason you love that ride may have more to do with the twin spar chasis and not as much to do with the front shock option as you may think. All the twin spars i have ridden handle amazing regardless of the shock package on them. The ACT shocks on the Z1 turbo will suffice in my mind, you could always swap them out for little money if you sell the originals. When you are considering dropping the big bucks for this turbo I think you are right in having the option of the floats if that is what will make or break the sale for you and your dealer may be willing to add these for no charge to make a sale.
