I rode about 40 miles last night with ridegreencat and there were areas that were pretty thin with some that are still nice. Some of the corners are down to the dirt, however, I have not been out yet today, but it looks like maybe a couple of inches of new stuff.
Since it's Friday there might not be alot of traffic today. Sooooo if it were me, and with it being almost March, I'd ride.

If you come up let me know what time and I'll see if I can meet ya.

Thanks Mark. Leaving to go to Niles right now. Will be there in 2.5 hours. Call me on my cell if you want to ride.

Niles is probably the better choice, but I can't do Niles. I do BRT from my garage because I sold my trailer.
Maybe next time.

I'm not sure about the Buffalo Run trail but the Four Flags trail has a good base. I did notice a couple bare spots, but not too bad. We did get a couple new inches this a.m. before it warmed up. I know that Tony and Animal are riding in Niles with some of the MTRC club members. Anyone is welcome to join. It is a "guys ride" so us better riders (that is female) are not allowed to go. bowdown.gif They don't want us to show them up. LET IT SNOW!!

It's not a guys ride. There just happens to be all guys goin!

Yeah! what he said. There were seven of us. We had a great ride. All left a little after 9:30 Fri. night and got back after 1 Sat. morn. The two bars we stopped at were SRO and the second one had the UGLIEST DAMN GIRL I've ever seen. Beer won't help her. beer_cheers.gif I do have to say we might need a different leader next time. The one who led us (who shall remain nameless.....Joe) tried to run us out of gas. We were at M-140 and Napier at the Marathon. CLOSED. Of course it was 12:30. We had to road ride down to Sisters Lake. That station was closed but the pumps still worked. We worked our way back to Joe's house and saw the aftermath of a nasty accident. Dude went too fast over a hill, launched, and caught a smaller one afterwards. Evidently he went endo. When we went by, he was picking up his hood. We made it back safely. That was a fun ride and highly recommended if you haven't already done it. m2c.gif

In the leaders defense, we all "did" have enough gas to get back AND I thought the M-140 gas station would still be open. Should I retire as leader Mr. President?

Our leader was fine. Everyone should have followed my lead and had a full tank of gas before leaving. grinning-smiley-023.gif grinning-smiley-023.gif grinning-smiley-023.gif Including our leader!

I would have volunteered to lead on the way back, but I noticed that my brake light wasn't working and I didn't want to get a rear bumper makeover...

Muskie,

I guess we kind of hijacked your thread! I think he was talking about Ditchen's sled.

Muskie, was cool riding with you and Chris. I did go back out (as noted above) with 6 other guys from the club. Holy cow. What a night. No drinking and lots of fun. I can't remember the last time I was so tired the next day. After about 140 miles of riding as hard as I ever rode my body just gave out! Hell, earlier this month I rode 180 miles in one day and felt like I was ready for 100 more! But that was a little slower pace and smoother, straighter trails in the UP. Hope you have a blast in the keewanaw. And dont forget to tether that gps!

Tony

found a rock jumping over a hill. Crunch the chain case, and sheared the bolts off and bent the shaft that mounts the lower front shock in the skid.

The sad thing sled will be ready to go shortly, but I do not think I will be. Really put a whammy on my already whammy'ed leg.
