Using a RAM mount, either can be mounted and fit - the mount basically uses the same base for either.

Do you plan to use the GPS for any other use? 60CSX is a lot more portable, better suited for hand-held use, etc. 60 also has the newer chip and will pull in satellites a lot better. This is not such a big deal in the winter, but makes a difference under heavy tree canopy (leaves in the summer especially).

The 276C wins hands down for screen size. The 60 is actually easier to see in direct sunlight (not that big of a deal in the winter either).

276C uses special Garmin memory cards, which are relatively expensive and unique to a few Garmin units. 60CSX uses standard microSD (cheap) cards. This mainly results in increasing the overall cost of the 276.

One last bit - the 276C has a rechargable battery, but it's a special battery, not really replaceable while you are on a ride. The 60 uses regular AA batteries (2). Both can be hardwired in. The 276 will easily go a full day or two of riding on a charge and the same is true for the 60. If you are not hardwired, you'll need to recharge the 276 at night or every other night.

A few weeks back I was looking at the same two models you are. I ended up going a different route with the Zumo 450.

1. It's designed for motorcycles (it's waterproof).

2. Comes with a RAM handlebar mount.

3. Uses the much cheaper SD cards. It is HCSD compatible. HC stands for "High Capacity", my 8gb card was only $34.00

4. Screen size and resolution is comparable to th 276c.

5. Display is color.

6. Has touch screen controls that are large for gloved hands.

7. Will play mp3 music through my Collett headset.

8. Store and display photos.

9. Has a large online community of users to help learn to use and customize.

10. Can be used in car or truck with a standard RAM mount.

I've used mine in -11deg with no issues, love it and would highly recommend.

A buddy of mine has both and loves the bigger screen on the 276c.
