The rear suspension on my wife's 500 classic seems to be set up wrong. it's an xtra 12 set up and the track does not sit flat. When the sled is on a flat surface, the track is against the ground under the front set of wheels, but the rear wheels and track are about 1/4 inch off the ground. I'm pretty new to the Polaris setups, and I'm just not sure what to do to correct this. I have the front ski springs cranked up about half way to compensate a little, but she says the back end washes out to easy. I'm running 4" carbides in the front and 96 studs in the rear so it should stay true if set up correctly. It's hard for me to tell when I ride as I weigh 110 lbs more than her(@115lbs). Anyone know where I should start to look.

Pull the limiter strap in one hole? That'll get the front of the track up into the tunnel more and let the majority of the track sit on the ground flat. That may add a little more steering effort but that may be the price you pay.

You can tighten two straps at the front of the suspension which pulls the front of the skid up.

also make sure the bolts holding the suspension to the tunnel are all there and tight, a missing one of them could make the back end of the track come up a bit

Thanks guys. Does anyone know what position the limiters were in from stock? I currently have them pulled up to the second hole.

I don't think that playing with your limiter will be the right thing to do. The x12 is a nearly fully coupled skid with no front arm shock. Tightening the strap simply reduces the travel of the skid which may solve your problem at the expense of usable travel. Instead leave it out and get the sled sit in right. If she is 110 make sure torsion springs are on low. If you are not getting enough sit in at this point reduce the front skid coil over spring preload to just enough to keep the keeper on. If it is still not enough remove the coil over spring from the rear rear shock. I think this will be your ultimate setting with a 110 pound rider.
