i went riding in the u.p. and had some problems with the pro-x, the one that really got me was the engine stoped on me at 85mph, i was running with the premium switch on and going up to lake of the clouds and held it wide open for a couple of seconds and the motor quit? then my bro has a stock 01 xc600sp and from a dead stop we raceed and he smoked me, like he hit a nitro buttin. i got a hot seat pipe, v force reeds, clutch kit. and also the sled it just feels a little sluggish, i can't even pull my skis not even a little..

thanks jeff

A couple things - stock 01 600 Edges were very very quick.

I assume your sled started back up after it quit running down the lake? Did your brother beat you after it quit?

I bet you that you seized a ring and it lost compression and quit when running down the lake. Then the ring freed up and it would run again. Probably need to look into the motor.

My old 1988 Exciter used to suck a ring all the time. Would get it started back up and ride it the rest of the day.

ya after a couple of pulls it started, and ya it was after that he beat me, i just took the exhaust values out and looked at them and they were gunked up, and i just cleaned them. the one was so bad it took force to get out, but that was on the sided my plug came lose.
