Just wondering if you other 08 owners are finding, that this new chassis darts all over the trails? Got 2 F7's that seem to go down the trails perfectly straight. My 08 F1000 and daughters 08 F570 are all over the trails, hard to handle at 30 mph. Anybody else having this problem, is so what did you do to correct it? thanks puss

Sleds with more ski pressure tend to dart around more. Especially on hard packed trails with other tracks already on them. The best solution is Dually carbides. They will make it run straight for sure. My 1000 was the darted with the cat runners, but is great with the duallys.

I have an 07 F1000 w/204 studs and I installed 10" single carbides.....sled handled great in the corners but was unmanageable on hard packed trails. I just installed doolly 8" carbides and put 300 great miles on this weekend.....no darting anymore. You will give up some of the carving ability, but my sled is 100% better with the dooly carbides.

Have you tried checking the ski alignment? I had a similar situation earlier this year and found my skis were basically parallel and had no toe out. I adjusted it to have apoximately 1/8 -1/4 inch of toe out and that eliminated my problems. This might save you a couple bucks.
Hope it helps.

ditto on the setup. sure there are nice aftermarket ski'd and carbides, etc. but I recemmend save your money.
check toe in (out 1/16" -1/8") Take off weight off the front skis, loosen ski preload, tighten front shock skid preload.
if it still darts much, something is wrong.
I have had lots of cats and since 1999 you can set them up to not dart - almost what so ever. keep enough ski preload so you don't need to brake in corners, (your natural forward momentum as you coast in on the skis should keep them planted in corners. but not much more ski pressure is needed IMO. If they dart you arent; set up right.
