i took off the carbs to clean them and after putitng them back on it idles great and starts right up, better than before. Well now that i got it all together it dosn't have any power. PRM's only getting up to 4500 and top speed is about 25 KPH. When i was taking it apart, one of the carbs choke plunger was missing. In one of the carb (inside the bowl) there were two rubber plugs and the other carb had none? Looked at a parts breakdown but it didn't show the rubber plugs, help what is missig? I know the choke plunger shouldn't matter becuse it ran great before i started. I put the air mixture screws to 1.5 turns like the owners manual says, i checked the turns on them when i took it apart and it was about 2.5 turns. i am thinking to put them back at about 2.5 turns, tell me what you all think. i seem to can't find anything on the net about the carbs or the machine. They are the Mulkin (sp) carbs.

Below is the spec i have on this

yahama Venture VT480 either TF or TFS. (owner manual has the GX, TF, and TFS in it)
Not sure of the year but i think its either a 91 or 92. Machine has a candian Serial Number of 89R-000XXX
2-up
fan cooled
PZ 1
I would guess you have it solved by now, but if not see here:

There are 3 holes and 2 plugs. They must go in the right holes. The 2 missing plugs must have fallen out when you did not notice.

That is the best place for Yamaha info.

Your sled is basically the same as a Phazer, so most all of the information you see for the Phazer II and a lot of it for the earlier Phazer will be the same for your sled.
