I was done with them last year when they ordered a wrong part and told me I had to take it. They lost me as a customer over a $20 part.

BUT, This is BS!!
I don't know the guy but I can verify that the sled in question had been sitting there at least 2 years.
They failed to fog the sled and it blows after 40 miles??!!
This isn't the only horror story I have heard about them either!!

They only care about making the almighty buck!! SCREW THEM!!

I was in there on Saturday and was looking at some gear, was looking around for about 30 minutes and no asked if I needed help. I've heard stories about this outfit as well, thats why I buy elsewhere

Sportland 2 shouldn't be in business PERIOD

Went looking for a sled there last fall. I didn't know they quit selling cats, since cat still listed them as a dealer. Walked around for 15 minutes "kicking the tires" on a few bomb. ATV's and leftover cat sleds they had sitting there, and the dealer finally came over and just stood there like he had better things to do that talk to me. Place just rubbed me the wrong way. Nice sized showroom though.

Why would it blow from not being Fogged?

When not fogged and sitting that long rust forms in the crankcase and bearings.

In this part of the state there are not many options. I have had pretty good luck with the parts department at Sportland 2 and when I have a question the guys in the back are always willing to let me pick their brain. I have not bought a sled there. If you think Sportland is bad try ordering something from Uke's Dirt Store. This year they seem to have pulled it together but in the past I have heard absolute horror stories about them ordering the wrong parts for people 3 -4 times in a row.

Pick their brain??

What brain, they are about as sharp as a marble!!!

The parts dept is full of youger kids who don't know heir ass from a hole in the ground and parts employee turnover is high. Somebody different every time i went there.

I am glad I am a Polaris guy, I'll drive the 20 minutes to G&G Powersports in Muskego.
Experienced guys who have been around and know their stuff!

The guy's at G&G seem to be good shit. However, you are all spot on about the service at sportland. They are a joke.
redcat03
might be a haul for some, but mid-cities in west bend is by far my fav. dealer. i bought 2 sleds and 1 atv from them, and let me tell you they know there shit. same parts guy for years now. its almost like they love it when you pick their brain about things, even over the phone. if you call with a tech question they dont know, they will actually call back when they do... 2 times now they took parts off a showroom model firecat so i wouldnt have to wait...i dont know how they compare in price, but if they are higher the service pays for it

Your right, Bill, Tom, Art have many years of Polaris under their belts, I remember seeing dozens & dozens of trophies from when they raced, they are decent folks to deal with, if I lived in S.E. Wisconsin, they would be my dealer for sure.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Your right shut them down so I have to drive to Illinios to get a frikin quart of oil.

They have been in business for a long time and have always treated me well.

If you don't like them don't shop there. I don't know why you would when you ride Polaris.

Maybe you received poor service becasue of your piss poor attitude?

ACEXCR800
I don't shop there anymore.......They happen to be the closest Polaris dealer to me.

My piss poor attitude??

Over the last 5 years, I have ordered over $1500 in parts from them.
I call to order a part, confirm part and part number. The moron parts guy clicked on the one below it.

So they call and tell me my part is in. I go to the counter and proceed to order $150 more of parts.
Another guy comes back with my ordered part and its the wrong one. The parts guy says they can't send it back and I would have to take it. I said fine, cancelled the order I just placed, paid for the wrong
part and told them they just lost a customer over a $20 part and walked out.

Not a very professional way to treat a good paying customer.

Same thing happened at G&G Powersports. they transposed two numbers on a carb slide I ordered over the phone.
They had no problem keeping it and ordering the correct one.

Now which place would you give your business to??

Thats why Shitland 2 can kiss my ass!

When they told you they couldn't send the item back, that is untrue, it's happened to me several times and my dealer never had a problem sending parts back. Stick with G&G, they will treat you right.

X3 on G&G,
Back in my fusion years I took my 2005 POS down to them when I kept getting fucked up here, they actually took the time to figure out what was going on, Found the recalls that were allegedly done were never actually done, and actully got that piece of shit to run correctly for a few miles before it took a crap again.

They also deal with extended service contracts and charge a fair price! Not MSRP like most other dealers do.

If it was not for G&G's thorough inspection of that sled and subsequent repairs, it probably would have turned into a fireball going down the trail.

it was worth the 2 650 mile round trips (1,300 total miles) to get my sled to them!
