the fusion is the prox replacement it is like a prox and edge combined. The reason they don't make pro x is because u can buy the edge with the performance package WHICH IS THE SAME as a prox. That sled looks sweet can't wait to get one in 600.

your dealer is full of crap. The Edge with the performance package is still an edge. Different shocks aren't going to make an Edge handle like a ProX. The geometry of the Edge front is falling-rate no matter what you have on it for shocks.

All I have to say is that Poo management pi$$ed off alot of faithful Polaris riders with such a radical change. Not that change is bad, but to just drop some sleds to try and make room for a new machine is total bull.... They should have released the fusion and done more homework and sales research before doing away with the pro's. Who did they talk to? Not the pro's fans that's for sure. But this is just

the pro X is shorter than the XC as well. the shock towers are higher and the ski spindle rake is more radical. bulkhead totally diff. this is what i learned from study past 3 weeks. last 4 new sleds were AC. 91,96,99,2001. what does this tell you?? actually bought a 2001 polaris this season for #2 sled and liked the ride a lot. xcf 440. that helped the decision.

your dealer is on crack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he needs to go the phuq back to polaris tech school and learn a thing or two... either that or get his money back... :frech32:
you need to get yourself a new dealer that will stop LYING HIS PHUGGIN A$$ OFF TO MAKE A SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a piece of chit!!!!!!!!!! :wut60:
chassis wise there are only a couple of nuts and bolts that are the same between the two and any competent dealer should know that...

Just a thought, Do you think Polaris only came out with 1 real New sled design (Fusion) for this year, because they still have so many parts left over from last years XC-SPs and Edges and dealers still have leftover inventory from 02- 04?
It makes good sense to introduce for a year and if all goes well to roll into production a 600,700 Fusion for 06. However the price is so High, that many may wait.
Don't know about other parts of country, but around Twin Cities area (mpls-St Paul) Many dealers have leftovers and can't sell the demanded new volumes that Polaris had come to expect.

Why is everyone so upset about the pro x going away? I have a prox and love it. Since I own one I kind of look around for others and I really don't see that many. I road 3000 miles this year and probably saw 15 pro x sleds and 6 of them at one time. I have seen hundreds of edge x and xc sleds though so why would polaris drop the xc when they sell way more of them. I am sure that polaris sells what makes them money.

THERE ARE NO PRO X LEFT AT POLARIS. NONE IN S WIS CEPT ONE 600 PRO X. REASON IS THEY WERE VERY EXPENSIVE. XC MUCH LESS COST. REBATE REDUCED 3/1/04 ON X. DEEALER HONORED THE PRICE HE GAVE ME END OF FEB. :beerchug:

i think people just see it as polaris dropping a great platform and keeping the old one... to he11 with exclusivity... it's nice to have something a bit different, but i'd rather have seen them keep the better platform and move forward... the appearance is that they moved backwards by dropping the entire pro-x lineup in favor of 1 model and kept the slower turning, heavier, weaker edge chassis... i understand the logic behind the decision, doesn't mean I agree with it or believe it to be the correct thing to do... besides, what's wrong with having more than 2 chassis' available... they basically have NO ditch bangin sled this year, WTF is up with that??? :banghead:

I think poo would have made a greater hit with the fusion if they offered a 600 this year. Like "mittelman1" said they "the 900's" are pricey. Who wants to spend over 10 G's for a brand new model. Me personally, didn't. and won't. If they offered the 600 as well for a couple grand less it would definately have made me ponder about getting one. Power isn't everything. Well yes it is, but price is also a factor too. Just talking out loud. J

the 600 has to be emishions compliant. it is in R & D. the old 600 does not fit new chassis. same on 700. they move slowly. i dont think they sell many sleds 2005 cept the pricey 900. maybe a few classics
