I've got a little over 1600 miles from Marquette MI to Saukville WI and haven't seen a one this year. Have just over 900 miles on my new Dragon with no registration stickers yet. I thought for sure the 900 I put on up north with no reg stickers would attract one, well maybe next weekend LOL.

Let them stay behind the desk or where ever and out of the woods. All there around for most of the time is to herass not to help. Lets police ourselves and keep them out of the program. That would be a perfect world.

Haven't seen any yet this year. Got stopped once last year with my brother and a buddy. My brother didn't have his stickers on his Apex. We showed the warden the paperwork and he was cool about everything. Didn't mention my exhaust or headlight covers.

I see the warden quite often in Lakewood and Troy the county sled cop sits in my parking lot some times. He looks for expired stickers, speeders and guys not stopping for the stop signs. He's a good guy! I chat with him when he's there and have learned alot about what it's like to go to a sled accident. He told me you would only want to see one.
He's out there just trying to keep us safe. Go Troy!

I have seen Wardens almost everytime I have ridden this year. When we were in Hurley we saw 2 checkpoints in one day less than 20 miles apart. I really don't care I try to do my best at following all of the rules but don't tell me they are not out. I have seen them on the Bearskin, Hurley, St. Germain and Tomahawk area. O, and one of the guys form the office got cought in Minoqua this weekend. Watch what you do they are out there.

See that is a good one, and notice he is a County and not DNR. just like the Coast Guard most worried about saftey and me too! And I too have seen that one in LAkewood and Townsend sitting right by the Town Hall.

I was in Minoqua last weekend, and after riding all day we stopped at the end of the ride in Lake Tomahawk to have a couple beers before we went back to Minoqua. While we were in the bar, the owners son called him to tell him there were dnr wardens at 2 or 3 of the road crossings along hwy 47 and to let people know about it. I only had 2 beers, so i wasn't concerned, but i really didn't want to deal with them, so we went around where they were. After talking to the bar owner he told us the dirty pricks were setting up a sled on the trails with the hood up like it was broke down, and as soon as someone stopped to offer help, they were all over you about blowing into the machine. I've seen a couple out this year, but i do know they're out there and i try to avoid them at all costs. From what i've heard, they're pretty heavy around the Minoqua, St Germain, Eagle River areas.

The bottom line is that if you have nothing to hide and are legally sober then you have nothing to worry about in any stop situation. I could care less if there was a thousand patrols.....Sleds are registered properly, we do not drink when riding, everything is stock, so no worries.

No need to go out of your way when you have nothing to hide.

Ride safe, Ride sober.

Saw a few in Racine County this year for the first time. Saw two on sleds with some sleds pulled over and on a seperate occasion I saw a solo officer out riding a sled in the Muskego area. Don't know what he was hoping to accomplish as by the time he could accurately see your sled we were passing him going in the opposite direction.

After riding for over 6 years in the Ladysmith to Clam Lake area we ran into three DNR checkpoints this year, one encounter with a warden issuing citations if you weren't at least 10 yards off the road in a ditch, and one group of friends pulled over by Sheriff for not making a complete stop coming off trail 9 going on to Devil's Lake Road. There was definitely more patrols this year. Prior to this year we had only come across one checkpoint and that was on the Tuscobia.
