I know I read it some where but it happend to me....07 Jaguar...We were out sledding and stopped to fix a creek crossing, while walking back to the sled I seen a dark spot in the snow under my sled..the engine oil filter came loose..was lucky...

That was me on my used ST. I should have gone through it but didn't have the time, 826 miles. This has all compounded into a dead sled on my dock with some VERY lean look'n plugs ( not from the loose filter but... ). Not sure if I just got a dud but I've had problems with this thing since day one, currently looking for a drop in motor if anyone knows of one for sale.

make sure you get that filter torqued to the proper spec or it will come loose.

No CRAP...not to be smart but what is 15 foot lbs on a filter....I got this from a dealer...hand tight then a half turn with a wrench....works for me....

lets see 15lbs on a filter is the same as a fastener use a filter socket and a torque wrench.
