Broke off a float pin ear on my 2000 550 Panther carb. J-B welded it back together for an emergency fix.Held so far for 350 miles with no problem.Found a 1996 used carb but do not know if it will work. P/N 0770-100 VM38-269 . The 2000 carb #'s are 0770-379 which supercedes to 0770-204 VM38-424. my question is what are the last 3 numbers on the carb mean ? I need the throttle position sensor which the 96 one has.Other than changing the jetting to match my other good carb will the 96 one work ? Or should i just cough up the $ 219.00 for a new one ?????? Thanks
