Your friends sled is nowhere even close to the problems I've had on my 07' renegade 1000x, I had an ECm go at 450 miles, e-rave cable two miles later, then a complete set of wiring harnesses ( 11 weeks in the shop, then they changed the e-rave acutators, all four injectors, and then another injector 50 miles later), then they changed a Exhaust temp sensor, reprogrammed the new ECM to retart the timing, and now, its in the shop after spending a few weeks at the BRP tech center in Wassua to have them diagnos it after my dealer said he couldn't fix it, awaiting a complete short block motor, its been in the shop most of this season, taking it back in on monday after picking it up on Thursday or friday the week before on at least four trips. this sled has never completed two consecutive trips without having to go back to the dealer for something........So in short, I feel your pain, my dealer is 120 miles away, and after last years trouble they gave me $400 in SKI DOO Cash, after this years trouble they extended my warrentee another year to include all of the engine management systems and another $400 in goods.at least I'll start next year with a fresh motor............................yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think someone needs to file a class action suit against brp . these sleds should go more than an average of more than 5000 miles before the motor blows.never mind all of the other bull crap that we've had to go threw.we need to all pull together

Electronics are great when they work ... pain in the a$$ when they don't. One of the reasons I decided to stick with the old iron.
