150 miles today. Incredible trails the whole way today! Laona, grade to Lakewood, through the tornado area, Lily, Pickeral, Argonne, Newald, back to Laona. Tornado damage is just insane! Can't imagine what that was like for everyone down in that area! Stopped at the Club House in Lily, 1.75$ beer? Are you kidding me? Sweet! Ended up hitting a few powder areas at the end of the day! Great ride! Best riding I have seen in years!

Craig, have driven through there on 55 and could not believe what that tornado did. Unbeliveable distruction.

Yeah, the trail takes you right through the guts of it. Incredible. When the tornado went through Johnnys Resort and the 100miler back in 94 that was a mile away from our place, and I thought that did some damage. Nothing compared to this. When ma nature get pissed, look out!

Craig, yes it is strange riding thru there, everytime we do I still slow down and look all around very happy no one hurt bad. Did you hear about the dazed bear that walked out of there? Makes our little one here a couple of years ago nothing compared to that one.

You guys should drive down 64 between T and 32. I think the damage was the worst there. It is pretty much cleared by the loggers but it was amazing the damage right through that area.

my brother-in-law has a place by 32/64 we saw the damage in the summer before the loggers went through. crazy scary.

The afternoon of the tornado I was on the phone with my Dad, he called because he was worried about me. Gotta chuckle about that this morning. Anyway, got about 100 yards from the halfway bar and seen the tornado and the roof coming off the bar. I told my dad, I gotta go! I stopped and made a Y turn in the road on 32, as I did this my truck windows blew out and a hotwater heater from Toms house past my window. I watched the whole woods to the west, lay down and blow apart. it was scarey as hell. Well I headed north for a 100 yards or so and then the tornado took my truck and set it in the ditch. I watched the tree's and cottages to the east blow away. I just got cut up in y arm and neck and rocks imbedded in my arms. My truck got smashed, $9000.00 worth and I rode home shaking and scared as hell!I've never seen something like that and been in the middle of it all. And there ain't no place to hide in a GMC truck with a console in it. LOL
After that day I tend to watch the weather alot closer. Someone was watching of me for sure.

Uwrf94,

We must have met on trail. We were there yesterday as well, around 11:00 am.

These pictures are from Saturday, but you are right about the trails. Awesome all over. Everyone I talked to that day said the same thing! Great day to be riding.

That first picture posted reminds me of the images i see in my dreams. wink.gif Like glass!

That tornado damage is insane, those are some huge trees that are snapped off like toothpicks! Anyone hear what category that tornado was?
uwrf94
I believe they said that was in the F4 range? Not positive but by the looks of the damage, this was not your average wind storm!
