Alright, got a 1998 F3 700 with about 3300 miles on it. Was out riding for the first time this year and out about 25 miles cruising along at about 50-60 MPH and it just died. No bog, no coughing, just died. Checked spark and had spark to all cylinders but she wouldn't start. Towed it out and put it in the trailer, went out about 2 hrs later and pulled her over and she started and ran for about 5-10 minutes and then just died. Wondering what you can tell me. Stator? Voltage regulator? CDI?? When i pull it over now you don't even get the head light like you normally would. Definately something electrical but now sure how to narrow it down. Any and all help is appreciated.

Check compression, you mightuve blown the engine, cause if it seized on one cylinder you can pull em' over after the engine cools off.
You might have a big problem on your hands!

Sure, check your compression just to eliminate that problem before going any further. If your compression OK I would have a look at the wiring under the motor, 98 CK3 chassis sleds had allot of problems with the wires under the motor wearing through the insulation and shorting out. The first thing everyone will tell you is the stator, I've got two of these sleds and never had a stator fail but had to pull the motors on both of them to repair the wiring. My 98 Mach 1 would run great for 10 or 15 minutes then die, after it sat for 20 minutes it would start and run great again. It did that about 20 times while we tried to trouble shoot the problem. It was a wire under the motor that would rub on a motor mount when it got hot and move away when it cooled down. I haven't had a problem with that sled since we fixed that about 5 years ago.
