I have a Ram mount for my 60csx, but it won't stay put in the rough trails. The mount is more or less just a cradle it sits in. There does seem to be the hole in the mount that mates up to the threaded hole on my garmin. Is there anyway to screw a threaded knob or something to secure to the mount? How do you guys mount yours so they are secure?

I am assuming that you just got the Ram mount and have never mounted it to the cradle before? It took me a while too but the GPS comes with a belt clip piece that screws into the threaded portion that you were referring to. It is a round plastic knob looking thing. Install this piece and then the unit will snap right into the RAM cradle.

Yes I got the ram mount. So this other piece you talking about came in the box with my gps itself. I will look for it. Thanks.

So I just need the screw piece and not the belt clip part. I just screw the round knob thing into the gps and snap it into the cradle right?

DON'T FORGET TO TETHER!!!!!

My 60 is somewhere in the woods of Vermont. I hope the squirells are enjoying it.

I also recommend using Lithium batteries, they are more expensive but they work FAR better in the extreme cold.
