Hey guys,
Haven't been out here in a few days due to the fact that I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having my sled stolen out of my garage Monday Early morning ( 1:00 am - 6:30 am) and have been rapped up in the investigation. Sunday night I went for a very quick ride around town here just out in the pipe line, I cleaned out my carb and wanted to make sure everything worked properly and right back into the garage. Locked things up - was happy with the performance and was getting ready for bed. I got up around 7:30 am Tuesday morning cause the wife had to work early and noticed my garage door wide open and my truck not in the area I parked it - looked in the garage and shit my pants, sled was gone, they broke the lock off the garage door and managed to move my truck 10 feet down the driveway in order to get in the garage. Called the police right away and they are still investigating, to this day no sign of it anywhere. the worst part of the whole issue it that I didn't have theft coverage on it and home owners insurance won't cover it, with a $ 500 deductible on the house I will be paying it all back if I claim it under HOI not to mention the most they will give me is $1500 for a 4500-5000$ sled. I have never feel so in the dumps like I have the past 3 days, the wife actually feels sorry for me because she know's how much passion I have for sledding, anyways if any body see's this sled around can you please contact me @ 905-630-0028, I cant give out the Vin # just yet because the original ownership was in the sled + my insurance policy. As soon as I can get the numbers I will let you all know for in hopes someone will find it.
Thanks guys
Steve

Son of a bitch un

real, for them to have the nerve to move your truck to do it is pretty damn brazen. For them to do all that it's got to be someone you know or someone on your street that knows your habits and lifestyle.
Large on the sorry to hear Steve-o.

Sorry for your lost man, I get up in the middle of night just to check the driveway and garage door.
I have two trucks in front and a trailer, and no way to get around. But hey, that might not stop them.
Good luck, will keep a sharp eye out brother.

WoW!!!!!!!! They have BALLS!!!!!!! the size of a Gorilla man the nutz they have. Like really is there any real worth to a stolin sled. Like is there sled chop shops. The only real enjoyment and riding you could do with a stolin sled is ditch banging and field running i guess. Cant put it on the trails. Hope you get it back man like i really hope and i hope you find it before the cops so you can maybe deal with it in many different ways the the cops

How did they move the truck?
Driveway in on a slope and has about 3 inches of ice on it, wouldn't take much for 3 guys to give it a good push and it would move. I had the sled up for sale and had a few guys come by to have a look, none of them ever came back which makes me wonder, something else that makes me think is what Freezerburnt said about quebec, i had a guy come from ottawa ( so he said ) and was really interested in buying it but didnt what to put any money down, he asked me all kinds of questions about where I store it and other shit but I never thought any thing about it, what really burns my ass moving my truck to get access to the garage, they must have known that I didnt have an alarm on the truck and there is no alarm on my garage. I have a key hook right by the sled in the garage where i leave the key so they knew about that too. All I know is that if I find out who it is i will personally take care of the situation myself, its bad enough i had to go through hell and back just to get this sled - my wife was totally against it and I only had it for 3 months.
Anyways i will keep you all updated on the situation and will post VIN #'s as soon as I get them from the MTO

Steve-O, my condolences, I have an 06 Renegade available if you're ever getting the itch to ride.
By the way, I know some cool torture techniques, so, when the cops find them, tell me when their court appearance is, 'cause unfortunately, they will get a fine at most, but we can all be there waiting for them. Anyone have an old Dodge van with tinted windows (would prefer the panel type van without any windows)? Now I'm starting to think online, gotta go....

I can't see it being local, Milton is not a sledders town, most people that live here probably have never been on a sled before let alone seen one. Someone has probably scoped my house out for the past few weeks and waited for the perfect timing to do this , it was pissing rain Sunday night here and the neighbour hood was dead.

Sound like the inquisitive guy from Ottawa is a promising suspect, any time I have a stranger to my house to look at something I'm selling, it's out side on the lawn, they don't ever see inside my shop. And now after hearing whats happened to you Steve-o-, I'll be asking to see their DL and taking their plate number and their picture..... screw em if they don't like it, they can then go buy off someone else.

Not a good situation. With respect to insurance I skip the collision usually but fire and theft is a must for me. I grew up around Milton and you are right that it isn't a snowmobile town (never enough snow) and it certainly isn't somewhere you could leave your doors unlocked. On top of that it's grown dramatically in size the past few years. I'd bet it was somebody who came by to see it for sale. Check your phone or e-mail records maybe to get a lead?
In fear of a similar situation I keep everything chained together always and the keys somewhere else. I also added deadbolts to the garage door. If you can get in and then want my sled you're taking them both, a quad, my lawnmower and my workbench all at the same time. Better bring a big trailer, a t-bone for my sheppard and be real quiet, I sleep right above the garage. A video camera triggered by a motion detector would also be nice!

Not all people are bad, just a few make the rest look like assholes.lol
Also makes me wonder what local law enforcement does during the nite? I know they can't catch them all but Geez!

Sorry to see that happen. It is surprising as well that it would happen in an area such as yours. You are not in a rural area, lots of homes around and anyone could be up and about at anytime during the night.

Did you happen to keep any of the emails, or phone numbers from any of the lookers???? I do alot of buying, fixing, and selling dirtbikes to support my MX racing. Alot of people come to my house. They all notice the video camera in plain veiw above the garage door! My door is also locked from the inside with a big lock through the track. Moving the truck was easy. They came with a floor jack, lifted the rear of the truck, and gave it a tug. That happens all the time! The guy from "Ottawa" is a good suspect. I also notice that you live in an area with a lot of new home construction going on. That's bad!!! There are a shitload of theives working on sites, and thieves scoping sites, usually for trailers, tools, and equipment. You may have just ridden past one these fucktards on Sunday night, and sparked his interest! I wouldn't be surprized if he didn't jack one of the contractors enclosed trailers to haul your sled home with.

Funny thing is we have 2 baby monitors, wireless and the other isn't , when we first got them I told my wife I wanted to hang 1 outside by the front door so she can see who was coming up and if she didn't want to answer the door then she didnt have too, her thoughts on that was it looked dumb and we needed them for the baby. As far as emails and phone # goes I have already looked over most of them and tried to contact a few people, I know 2 or 3 of them can be scratched off the list as they were older gentlemen that would hurt a fly but there are 4 others including this so called Ottawa guy that I want investigated. The only thing is when I do a reverse look up it comes up as a cell phone # based in Kingston. I also have 1 other guy locally that works for Mattamy, he's a warrenty inspector that come over 2 weeks ago and asked me where my sled was because he saw the tracks, I said in the garage were it belongs. He said his sled just blew up a week ago up in Parry Sound doing lake runs and he was looking out for another one before the season ended, I told him mine was for sale and showed him to it, he said he didnt like the REV chassies and would perfer a CAT if possible and I told him that's cool, it doesn't hurt to look. Anyways all I want is my sled back in the same condition as it was but I fear it wont end up that way, I wouldn't be surprised if its chopped down by now and sold for parts.

I have no doubt it was, but which one is the question, if I had any thoughts about someone trying to do this I would have taken their plate # but when you have trust in people you don't think of those things at the moment. I learned a pretty shitty lesson.......... it will be a while before I get back into sledding again and its not because of the theft, my wallet is completely tapped and with a new born on the way in Sept. it will probably be 2-3 year before I get another one. I was only selling this sled to put the money towards another one because of the speedo issue and the rings needed changing so instead of spending a wack of money I was going to go out and buy a brand new XP or TNT, I guess my dreams are screwed now.

You got all the gear get yourself a sled and have some fun man. Not too many of them ever come back once they are gone.

When selling I always bring the bike/sled im selling out of the shop and actually I transport it to my parents house for the viewing, that way when they look they see it in the garage with a lawnmower and some patio furniture not sitting in my shop beside my tools and other toys!!!!! Also if they want to come back to steal it they can have the patio furniture becuase the bikes not there!
