I just got back from Pittsburg and its a $75 fine plus you need to take a safety course. So how are the fish cops in Maine with exhaust? If their anything like NH I'll take it off for next weekend.

ride with alot of sleds and way in the back and have a comunacator with the lead sled and he can tell yea to turn around and if that works for yea your good to go or scrap the can.

Maine has the do not alter at all type of law, my buddy got pinched a month ago. If it is not stock your getting a ticket.

The wardens are cracking down on that here, you might get a warning from one and a ticket from the other. A bit of advice to anyone dealing with the wardens here, do not give them attitude!!!!! They hang out mostly where the trail crosses rte 16 in Oquossoc, go easy on the throttle approaching from either direction, you'll probably make it through. Unless you have a stinger, then forget it.

Is it about as loud as stock maybe a little louder or is it ridiculously loud? Maine has a decibal law you can change the exhaust you cant make it louder than stock that being said some sleds are pretty loud stock. You should never give LE attitude they are just doing a job some are real tools and shouldnt be out on the trail all you can do is call there super and make s tick we should all do that with the bad ones. Start a lawsuit or threaten with harrasment its time to weed out those enforcing laws the way they see fit and its also time for concrete maine laws instead of the wishy washy bullshit. A decibal limit period no other law is neccesary the meters are pretty cheap and easy to use

Ridiculous loud, I ran with a slp can on my Fusion for 2 years never had a problem, the stingers and obnoxious pipes are the problems. I have talked to guys with cans that have not been bothered either. I talked to a guy with a zr 900 twin pipes that was stopped and given a warning, telling him next time he gets a ticket. I live 3 miles from town, I can hear the sleds till wee hours from my house, all I hear are the loud ones, running back and forth in the cove.

I'd take it off and go stock. The game wardens are out in force. I got pulled over twice last Saturday for a registration check. At one stop there were 4 of them checking sleds.

Like eveyone else has been saying change over to the stock can. I like the sound of a aftermarket can for maybe the first mile or so and then they are just a pain in the ass. All my buddys have cans and I cant stand riding with them.
