does it need the pin weight because of the 24 gear ????
REDMXZX800
You have that backwards, if you add pin weight you loose rpms, what was your stock gearing?

my stock gearing for the 98 formula 3 700 cc triple single pipe was 26/43 i could do 105 all day long with stock clutches since i put the 24 gear in it went all to hell i tried a 27 last year and it went to hell then so they told me i went the wrong way hence the 24 lol so i put new stock springs in and it didnt do anything either so now i am on clicker 5 to get 8000 rpm on the tach ... but its a rocket to 60 then it take an hour to get to 80 and then nothing after that nothing at all .....if i leave the throttle at 1/4 to 1/2 it picks up way faster then if i hold it wide open witch is weird it used to go faster and quicker when you put it wide open lol i ordered a dalton pin kit the expensive 115 dollar one ..but i cant afford to keep testing all day long the factory i worked at closed down and i have a son and a daughter on the way so i need a rock solid set up i can buy that is proven by someone or should i spend the money on a clutch kit .... i need it to be the way it is right now in the bottom but need more mid range and top end my father in law owns a 05 f7 that will do 109 his brother owns a 04 cross country 800 that will do 106 and my friend has a 600 zrt that will do 110 all day not to mention the lake i live on has only a cat dealer on it so you can imagine being the only doo what harasement i get by being the slowest ....like i am sure i should be able to get 110 out of my sled if it was set up the right way .......... thanks

found out the problem on the recoil side the jet was haining on by one thread somehow it loosened off and was dumping way to much fuel ...... i cant believe how much the 24 gear makes my sled rock everyone was right the 26 was to tall from factory ...
REDMXZX800
25/44 gearing is ideal on that sled , 7600 on that 700 motor.
