me and a buddy will be going to interlochen next weekend. he has a place next to the state park. we always ride the railroad grade to the trails south and west of there. we are wondering how to get from the state park to all the trails east of traverse city, i think it is trail 510. last time we rode from there to higgins lake we rode all the roads and it really sucked to go from 510 to interlochen. Please if anyone can help, we would like to try something different, any other suggestions from interlochen would be greatly appreciated

We shoot to the end of State Park Highway hang a left up Youker Road than poach the roads and fields east to the trail head...You can also bump along the side of M-31 from Interlochen and head south by the Budweiser dealer and hook up with the trail that way too. Another option is to take Tonawanda north, cross 31 and take rogers road alomst to the end and their is a trail off to the right that will take you to Bass lake road from their we hit silver lake road, cross silver lake across private property and then ride the fields south towards menards and cross their also. I would choose the Youker road route from where you are staying bu the state park. I probably confused the hell out of you by now...
