The Jordan River National Fish Hatchery "Friends of the Hatchery" group is hosting a "Snowmobile Stop" this Saturday February 23 from noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Hatchery. Snowmobilers are welcomed and encouraged to stop in for a complimentary bean pot, beverages and some snack. There is no charge and this is open to all snowmobilers. The Hatchery is located along the Jordan River trail. For more information go to Mancelona Chamber website, and click the link for the Snowmobile Stop. There is a map and contact information there. Also, there will be photographs taken of the snowmobilers, and they will be submitted to the local county papers, and added to the Chamber's website, so stay tuned - you may see your smiling face on line! :-) This event is hosted and sponsored by the Hatchery group.

Saturday was a beautiful day in northern Michigan. Sunny and bright, was a great day! The 1st annual Complimentary Bean Bot (Snowmobile Stop) at the Jordan River National Fish hatchery went very well! Approximately 200 people stopped by for hot bean soup, beverages, tours, and to kick back, take a break. As promised, I'm adding photos. Please look to www.joaniemoore.com. John, a groomer, was there - nice pic of him on the site. (Not the horny groomer, but the other John). Several photos are on line now; the rest will be added Sunday morning. Enjoy, and thank you to all who came out and enjoyed the afternoon!
