Pipes and clickers have a tendency to set them off. Higher octane fuel will help (min 94), so will running it a little richer. Some people insulate the sensor slightly using a rubber washer. Other disconnect it entirely. You could also mods the heads to lower compression.

The 10% ethonal in Canadian gas really doesn't help, so you could try a tank of race gas. You could also try 94 octane and add some octane boost as well. I'd start with better gas and go from there.

DCS is flashing because it's picking up detonation, you need
better fuel(more octane) how's jetting, low, mid,top??

thanks for the advice, i guess thats a good place to start, and i think our gas is only 91 octane

hard to get good fuel without a bit of water mixed in , and the jetting well he went down 3 sizes below stock and the plug still are wet with fuel.

Try jetting up,, most of the DCS are starving for fuel anyhow....R2R

In what range????

he need's to do a some test runs, about 700-800 feet,,start by low speed runs 1/4 throttle then
reach over and kill the motor, pull plugs and see how color is,then do the same @ 1/2+ then full,
your motor will tell what what it needs by wash and plug color, then he can go from there, but
he simply need's better fuel, more octane..OR get a handle on his jetting..

is he using simons jetting spec??

what octane is using???

Octane does crap, save your $$, check your jetting in the ranges,go from there.. twitch.gif
