Has anyone turboed or put noss on their pro x? What are the pro's and con's of each? It sure would be fun to have something with that much horsepower. How much would each cost?

Turbo on a carb sled can be tricky to keep running , Nos is a issue also. One backfire and you need reeds and maybe carb boots with Nos . Both will cost you a pile of money to run long term , but all the broken stuff laying around the shop is cool to talk about (:-) !

How about Boss Noss, they say it is so much better than others. After reading their literature on their site it makes me tempted because they claim it is so reliable.

Thank you! Whoever at N.O.S. (Nitrous Oxide Systems) decided to get their product into "Fast and the Furious" was a marketing genius. Their name is now the standard for talking about nitrous.

I have used and installed about every Nitrous system offered for snowmobiles.
They all have thier pros and cons
Boss noss (I even hate typing thier name..lol..)
+ easy install
- tuff to get quality parts
+ not so temp oriented
- runs on batterys
- fuel enrichment is scary at best (drill holes in carb boots and shove in a nipple?????)
- race fuel mix
- would not recomend
Boondockers
+ relatively easy install
+ the new regulator is nice if you like stuff to fiddle with
+ quality parts
+ easy fuel enrichment
+ easy adjustment
- temp sensative (not so much with the new regulator)
- race fuel mix
-"50" horse shot is worth about 30-35 on the dyno
+ great for trail/occasional race
N.O.S./ Nitrous Express /Cold Fussion- Any of the fogger wet kits
+++++ Best bang for the buck
+ High horsepower
+ Safe within limits
+ quality parts
+ can be set up with seperate fuel system (systems own fuel cell) for race fuel
- most need a battery
- alot more components pump, selenoids, tubing, ect. to cram under hood
- race fuel
- colder plugs
+ can be adjusted from trail to serious race set up
Turbos- My next adventure..LOL....
One of the best qoutes Ive heard was "If you call it NOSS again, I will hit you over the head with a flowmaster!"

I've had boondocker nos on my prox2800 4 years now same motor no problems with motor. I had to replace tank valve and clean nozzles once. I've sprayed over 100 bottles into sled, it sure is addictive. I'll be selling my nos setup this spring, I'll hope to be buying the new 800 then turbo with boondocker nos. My setup is plug and play. everything but the bottle mount to the airbox. I have a toggle switch that makes my perc switch nos or reverse. Never ever regretted it once!!!! Backfired once during testing and blew the pipe right out of the can and y-pipe. Should have took a picture, stretched all the springs and turned the exhaust doughnut into steel wool, still running strong.
