Groomed last night until 12:30am. It was interesting to say the least. The stuff did not groom well at all, but we did it. Carefull, the ice bridges and water bars have been hollowed out by running water. There are lots of small wash out pockets in our area. I can assume it will be the same in other places south of the Notches. Trails are flat, just the snow does not stick well. After grooming, the trail was still hard as a rock. The eclipse was cool last night. only one group of sledders out and they helped us move some big downed trees. Thanks to them.

Dont know where you were grooming but god bless you. The trails have got to be serious hard pack right now. Keep up the good work, there's alot of season still left!!

We have the same problem here with the water bars opened up. Trails are like concrete. Have to really work the Skandic to pull them out smooth. After 40 hrs in the last two weeks between grooming and water hole repairs and doing some limbing, Our trails here in Lempster are great. Trail 392 over silver mtn is fairly smooth but need more snow to really smooth it out real good. I had to cut the snow and ice at one water bar last night with my chainsaw to ramp it so I could get the Skandic and groomer thru.
Everyone please use caution wherever you are riding this weekend. Trails are packed hard and icy and alot of water bars that keep popping up thanks to mother nature and her damn rain.

We groom the basic same terrain in Stoddard as you do in lempsta. Our Tucker did the trick but when we used the blade, it would litterly lift the front pontoons off the ground. We had to break it up with the drag and come back through using the blade in the sides. BTW I rode up the old silver mountain area last week. Very nice. We did some "indian riding" in our area last week. ha-ya-ya-ya-ya over the studder bumps. It was all good. We hope to get over to the east side of Highland Friday. rockernana.gif

Aside from the waterbrs we should be in for some great weekend riding.Everything in our system has been or will be smooth as a highway for Friday night.

styrofoam is an excellent description of it. It's like riding in sugar. We need more snow!
