Great video Maine Hunter !!!!!!!!! Thanks!!

Seen my Bearcat needed a number of times ta get folks outta the ditch too ... Called "Tug" for good reason... biggrin.gif

Just a thought,, I've found that it pulls em out easier with a shorter rope... Although the longer rope gives more energy with the longer stretch ...

Maybe one of these rides up north ya could stop in fer a hot dog at " Outback" ( private camp).... Just let us know when and maybe it'll work out ?? Alway interested in meeting other HCS 'ers !!

Yup we don't usually stray to far from the farm... Looks like nice weather for the up coming weekend !! Saturday and Sunday --- sunny with temps in the 20's...

Any interest in heading to Fort?

Sorry we missed you Chuck, our group was down with the flu or something like it most of the week.

We did see you Saturday but it didn't click for me that it was you till after we went by. You stopped to let 3 sleds go by on top of the dike, I was 3rd in line.

Nice video btw. clap.gif

I think I saw the access trail to where you guys were staying but I wasn't sure...we'll make better plans next time!!!

Awesome video. We were up in the county in February as well and had some similar experiences. The first half hour of our trip 6 guys got stuck at various times playing around in the powder....too fun.

What kind of camera to you use? I'm looking to upgrade mine. Maybe even get something I can mount on my sled. Your video down the border trail was cool. That trail is kick ass!

Later.

I just use a Canon Elph SD600...it is fine for youtube quality shots and is compact enough to easily fit in my jacket. The attachment is just a "spider leg tripod" from Radio Shack that wraps around the handlebars. It has a quick detach mount that aids in saving the battery..
HoultonCats
Great vid. Thanks for posting it!

Having had made 50+ videos, I usually open these type threads with a curled lip and raised eyebrow.
I was very very impressed this time.
Keeping someones attention span for over nine minutes takes some skill, but having them want to watch it again back to back takes it to another level.
Having been raised in F.F. myself, on all of those trails many times, was on Long Lake fishing last week, at the Club with Ken and on that bridge in Mars Hill also recently may have something to do with my enjoyment of your video. Or it was the music or soft transitions or just everything rolled together. Good pace with a good mix of footage vs. pictures and great assortment of sled/people/scenery/groomer/game and everything else. Awesome job!
If you don't mind me asking, which editting program are you using? Ever burn DVDs? Do you have more videos?
I created a DVD in November (certainly not my first) from pictures my employer takes, which has sold over 2000 copies locally.
Again very good job on that peice! I'll be forwarding that link to a few other people for sure.

I really appreciate the kind words and it was only my second attempt at making a video but I have a PILE of old shots that I plan on working on. Here is the link to my first video:My First Video

I just got a new MacBook Pro which came with iMovie and related software installed. Every time I use it, I'm learning something new. I have a master video of the season which is too long for Youtube and has some nicely edited scenes including music timed to events. Once the season is over and I finish it, I'll put it up on my personal website or send you a DVD.

I am also a Jeep nut and have a project in the works that should be pretty cool. Thanks again for the critique and I'm always up for a few pointers if you want to PM me!!!
MaineSledda
Great video. I watched the whole thing. Cant say I've done that much. Did you guys do 120 (85D)? We did on Sat and it was SHIT. Great weekend. Great weather too. MORE MORE
Maine Hunter
It was about 16 miles of bumps but we just took it slow and kept an eye out for wildlife. The beginning and end were awesome though!!!
MaineSledda
Bumps isn't the word for it. I told the guys I was with I would give a 1.5 (10 being the best) Only cause 1's are reserved for trails with no snow. The Alagah end wasn't that bad. Just the Eagle Lake end.
