i bought the sled new and it has been amazing other than it seems to bog in deep powder, the rpm's are there at 7700 to 8000 sometimes even higher (probably not good at 8350) but on hard packed it jumps and is GONE. midrange it rocks and 94 mph top end consistantly, but it doesent like the deep snow?
it really sucks when my buddy with a 600 switchback can walk all over me.
any ideas?

When you say bog do you mean: You get into powder, you try and throttle up and booooogggggg then bang it's there? If so then it's just the secondary binding up on the backshift and you would maybe consider looking into a shift assist kit from DD.

If you mean it's showing 7900-8000rpm's but it's not turning the track with power then either the RPM gauge is lying or something is binding up. There's no way it's turning 7900 RPM and not spinning the track in powder unless something is jamming the track or clutches up.

If you spend alot of time offtrail in the fluff

Clutches are getting way hot , Belt is slipping , Showing the higher rpms

Like Guyfromthenorth mentioned , shift assist bearing and add a Goodwin DK Blue / Yellow secondary spring

Run a tight belt deflection , and make sure offset/alignment is dead nuts

Other belt options also but try this first

Is it a sharp / quick WHACK of a bog or a longer drawn out bog??

it's a longer drawn out bog that doesent get better it just doesn't pull the way i think it should
another thing is i was wondering what to do to get a bit more jump off the take off even if it means giving up top end (i don't need speed i want acceleration)

The rpm's are there but it just isn't pulling the way i think it should so i guess i will try a tight belt deflection and make sure the clutches are allignd dead on,
Also i would like to get a bit more jump off the gun, i wouldnt mind giving up top speed i will just hurt myself 80 mph would be plenty

THANKS

If you belt doesn't squak at idle it's not tight enough.

Just sell it and sell it quick before you break more body panels. I think that kitty only has 6 lives left.
