Anybody been up to mile run in the last day or 2? I went thru on 80 on fri afternoon and was about a foot on ground down by interstate. I was wondering how it held up with the damn R*$@?

Not good: I will venture to say. Rode 60 miles North of I80 on Friday the 15th. The conditions were excellant. Traffic was very light and polite. All a benefit as it was the first trail ride for my youngest son. The rain and warmer weather at the beginning of the week wrecked havoc on the area. Need 4 to 6 inches. Day by day the season is slowly disappearing.

Forecast isn't looking too bad. Was hoping to maybe try this place out on Sunday if we get enough snow tomorrow into Saturday. Where exactly is Mile Run? Wheres the best place to drop? I'd be coming from Bloomsburg

Head west on I80. Mile Run is the first exit beyond the I80 & Rt15 interchange. Bear right at the exit. There is a large parking lot behind the Penn Dot depot. From the time you get on I80 in the Bloom area you should be unloaded and on your sled within the hour.

Sounds awesome to me. I really hope we get the snow so I can try this place out. I will be there early Sunday morning if the snow accumulates.

Check the DCNR website for a map of the area. If you head south of I80 make sure your sled's registration is current as well as your insurance. Have fun and keep to the right.

Thanks for the info. I have never rode there either . but it now looks like there will be enough to ride my usual system, http://www.nepsnotrails.org/

One of these days i am going to ride there though, it is about 1:15 from my home.

I really want to try out NEPA, but I just don't want to buy a permit this late in the season. I'll keep it in mind for next winter.

Trails are usually good and well maintained, close to 200 mile os trails in system, 4 differnt gas stops, a dozen or so bars so you never get too thirsty, beer4.gif and you can go and listen to the windmills if your bored m2c.gif

Given the good snow conditions in Eastern Lycoming County; I would venture to say that Mile Run has ridable snow. Have fun and stay to the right.

Excellent. I hope to be there with a friend early tomorrow morning

Conditions suck as usual

Can you give any more details than that???

rode 110 miles today. Trails were getting tore up but ridable. Groomer was out so Sun morning may offer some riding.

Since it's only a half hour drive I'll probably give it a shot

Got 120 miles today. There were quite a few trucks and trailers at the Mile Run lot. Trails were flat and fast, but the snow was dissapearing fast, lots of snirt/gravel/dirt/bare spots by the end of the day. Can't believe I never rode there before. This is the first time in a few years that I've put more miles on the sled than the truck. beer_cheers.gif

I live about 10 minutes from mile run exit. I rode about 100 miles today, but I'm in Rangley, Maine. Big difference then the home stompping grounds.

Rode there last Friday and the trails were the best they ever hace been. 100 miles in 4 hours, graet ridding that day. All trials groomed and not alot of sleds out that that day.
