Ever wonder where old snowmobiles go when they die?

Further down the trail I came upon the remains of the hawk that was made famous on this site a few days ago. It seems it has provided a nice meal for others which is the circle of life I suppose.

I think this was the creature as it looked a few days ago.
On the trail to 14 south I stopped as I saw something lying in the trail. More signs that riding and drinking is still a prevalent problem.

Right about here a local snow squall came through. I was glad to see it as I knew my motor would be better able to keep it's cool. Plus I was now on a groomed trail. This was a fun section as there were not many riders out today. I did see four sleds headed south earlier on. I was to meet these same riders down on 14 south on the valley floor as they were headed north.

14 south.

The stream through here looks pastoral in winter.

65 miles total in 4 hours. I would rate it a 6 out of 10. Hey, I was out riding and even though it wasn't perfect it beats a day at the office. Get out and ride while you can. It's almost March and you know what that means. No sap buckets yet but soon.
