I have recently aquired an '88 Exciter EX570 that has a damaged hood. Does anyone know if an '87 Exciter hood will fit it? I see that the 87 only has the one large (front facing) vent at the nose, the 88 has 7 (three more on each side). From the pictures I have seen, the hood shape also might be different, but I am hoping it just looks that way because of the camera angle. Are they interchangeable? Will the missing vents cause a problem?

From what I have read almost all the Exciter parts are interchangeable across several years, though I know there several internal changes between 87 and 88 models (carbs, some brake parts, etc).
