I have to go past the parking lot by the warming hut tonight. Although the snow cam shows around 4 inches I'll stop and see if any of the base is left from the FREAKING RAIN! It's just a guess but if we still have a little of the base, we get the 3 more inches of snow today and several more inches on Friday and Saturday the LH MAY be ridable this weekend. This winter has sucked beyond my wildest dreams. So you don't feel bad I got a PM from a guy in Alaska and he tells me that they are the same way. They get snow, it gets warm, it melts, they get more snow, it melts so on and so on. I don't know where his exact location was but the fact that he was in Alaska and the same thing is happening to him that is happening to us should make you fell a little better hugh? Naaaahhhh still sucks!

10-4 on that dvarmit,..... The rumor is now they are talkind about a suggnicent one for tuesday into wednesday.Its messed up my one buddy he is actually in like a depression since there is no snow this year I hope i never get that bad!!!! the place to be is the midwest i guess.

I was up at the hut around noon and there is about 2-3 inches on the ground. I should have gotten out and checked the base but didn't. It did look like someone took their truck up Beam though.

What can I say, a weekend in Potter was like sex, drugs and rock & roll for me! Still feeling warm, fuzy and in a pretty damn good mood! Yeah, the winter has sucked, but I feel like I at least got to do some half decent riding at this point. It's never enough, but I'm in a much more positive state of mind than I was at the begining of the month.

I think the ANF may be rideable this weekend......the DNCR report tuesday still said it wa sok

Don't believe that right now. They have no idea what this thing is going to do. Each run of the NAM or GFS shows something different. Tomorrow should tell the tale.

I am going to stop and check the trails around 7:00-7:30 tonight and should post a report for you guys somewhere around 8:30-9:00 check back then if your interested. Oddly enough, we got around 6" so far and looks like we will get a couple more the way its snowing now. If we can get some snow out of Thursday night and Friday we should be good to go this weekend.

Maybe we can get togethor saturday for a ride then? PA Viper too?

i sure hope we get enough snow for sat am in the LH i would like to meet up with some of u guys and ride

Ok, here's the report. I stopped at the trail head above the warming hut.. That mountain never ceases to amaze me. The first person to hit that trail tonight is going to have a freaking blast! There is about 8" of nice powder and some base left from the weekend. I scraped the snow off the top and hit a solid base and couldn't see dirt. The only reason I am not riding right now is that I didn't take my gear. Not one person was on the mountain riding. I think it's because you don't hit snow until you get close to the mountain.

I am sure that some spot's like the turnpike are a little rocky due loosing the base that it had. That area has no cover so it usually doesn't hold that well. But, no shit, it is ridable!

One more thing, I have to pick up my sled at Borings after work tomorrow around 5:30. Does anyone want to meet up for a ride say around 6:30 or so? I can meet at Wallet's or if your coming in from 31 we can hookup at the turnpike.

I'll be in for Friday evening and Saturday!

Anybody ride fri afternoon/evening iam going to see if i can get out of work a lil early if someone can ride. Then i am going to to try in hit the trails sat am to if the conditions are good.....

Polxc5 and I are going to meet at the warming hut behind Wallet's around 6:30-7:00. At least that is what I got from his PM. My sled will be done, they are just putting picks in for me. If you want to meet shoot me a pm and I'll give you my cell number in case something happens but it shouldn't.

winter weather advisory for 7pm tonight through tomorrow evening 1-3" tonight and 1-3" tomorrow up north(which translates to maybe an inch) snow changing to sleet/freezing rain in the south(which means half inch of snow that'll get melted with the rain) hopefully they'll get a few inches up in the LH!

I got fri off if anyone wonts to ride in the am.........

I hear that its been snowing down home here we picked up about 3in so far i am just worried about the ice storm thats spose to hit tomorrow get cant up the mountain to ride on an icy road lol!!

That's odd... I was just thinking the same FREAKING thing myself.. It's supposed to rain good on Tuesday so I think we are done for the year... This year goes down as the shit bag worst winter of my lifetime.. hands down.

I think what makes it the worst is the weather people, They have no clue on how to do their job!!!!! ijust had one of our employees show up to work and he asked me how much we are suppose to get...
I looked at him and said when the last snow flake falls take a ruler out and measure! What aggravates me the most is tuesday and wednesday is suppose to close to 50. just dont get it anymore.

It's raining.. I know the mountain is ridable. The question is do you want to look like an icicle within 15 minutes of leaving the parking lot...

yea thats what i figured well its spose to change back to snow this evening/night so i might wait till then to go for a lil ride

when i was a kid i really didnt care whether it snowed or not,but we always could count on a shitload every winter and it stayed all winter.now since ive gotten into riding seriously 7 yeras ago and spent what to me is alot of money and wanted snow i cant seem to get enough to ride....go figure

worst part is these weather dickwads (as you all know) get us all excited and turned on ,just to let us down and we fall for it every time
