One hurt in snowmobile collision in Burke

Published: Tuesday, February 19, 2008
BURKE -- A 22-year-old man from Rock Fall, Conn. sustained a leg injury after his snowmobile was hit from behind by another snowmobile over the weekend in Burke, said Vermont State Police.

Police said Justin Foreman was riding on a trail off Burke Hill Road Saturday when his machine hit a rock. A second snowmobile, driven by Brendon Foreman, 19, then struck the back of Justin Foreman's sled.

Brendon Foreman was not injured. Justin Foreman sustained a severe leg laceration and was taken to Northeastern Valley Regional Hospital.

No alcohol was involved in the incident, said police. Both operators received violations for leaving a VAST trail and having no snowmobile safety certificate.

Yeah Trails were mint as usual great job! As for my comment earlier in this thread, it said he was off the trail and hit a rock, now i realize shit can happen on/off trail but usually if you stay on the trails big rocks dont jump in front of you.
