As the title says this ride will be for those that want/like to put miles on plus see some beautiful lake country....up to 500 miles this coming Saturday/Sunday (Feb23-24). If anyone is interested in doing either or both of these rides please PM me.

Saturdays ride would leave Falcon Lake at 9:00 am heading to Kenora and looping up through Bird Lake and back down to Falcon as shown on the map. The route is approximately 300 miles with gas stops in Kenora, Nopiming Lodge and Seven Sisters Falls. I did this route with FeelTheThunder last year and is a very doable day ride.

Sunday's ride would leave Falcon Lake at 9:00 am and take one of the following routes (to be decided later).
Route one would be approximately 200 miles with gas stops at Moose Lake and Woodridge. I confirmed with Joane at the Woodridge Inn that gas would be available on Sunday.
Route two would be approximately 100 miles with a gas stop at Young's Bay. This route will have some off-trail riding through Echo Bay, north edge of Shoal Lake and across Indian Bay.

The ride on Saturday is as planned.
The ride on Sunday will be route 1...the all Manitoba route.

possible item of interest to some...

I have a SPOT satellite personal tracker that can send GPS coordinates and a Google Earth link to email and/or cell phones. This makes it possible for anyone I put in the database to track where we are at...I press a button and it will send a message with a link and you can view our exact location on Google Earth. I will send a location whenever we stop...so if anyone is interested in tracking our ride PM me an email address and I'll put it in the tracker database just for Sat/Sun so you can watch where we are at on Google Earth throughout our ride. Google Earth is free and can be downloaded here.
