Hey guys lookin for some help. Anyone have info on an aftermarket bashpan that would cover the chaincase. Just took a rock thru the pan and cracked the case on my new 08 . Wasn't aware it happened and smoked a bunch of the gears, chain, shifting fork. What a mess flame.gif They really put that chaincase in a bad spot, it actually sits below the bellypan.

I had the exact same thing happen to my 2006 FST Classic. I was able to limp it back to the road, but didn't realize the oil had drained out and smoked parts in the chaincase. By the time we loaded it on the trailer the track would not turn. Believe it or not the insurance company totaled the sled.

In the last few weeks somebody posted on here regarding a guard they made themselves. You might search for that post.

thanks. I'll take a look. I did find one from SLP online for $40 but it looks like it will really stick down even lower below the pan. Has anyone tried this guard? I plan on making a cardboard template to make a pattern and will try to have a friend at a fab shop weld it up so its not as low.
