Hey guys, new to the Ski Doo forums so take it easy on me. I am a regular over in the Polaris 440/Race forum.

Anyway my father has a 2001 Grand Touring 600 that we recently changed the top end, and also had the crank checked out and trued. But even before we tore it down it had a erratic idle after you rode it for a while. Goes up to about 2800-3000 rpm then slowly comes down. But the longer you ride it the slower it goes down. I replaced the crank seals (2). I am hoping this might be reeds or fuel air screws? Ohh, it does seem to idle a little higher now after the rebuild we did have to bore it .020 over. Running Wiseco pistons. I am not really familar with the inner seals on the crank, oil cavity seals, etc. Thanks for any help.

Just wondering did you ever get the idle problem fixed?I have a similier problem with me 02 Gt 600 and it drives me crazy, talked to dealer and they say it is a normal thing for Skidoo to do, I don't believe him.

my 01 gt 600 does the same thing. It is only once in a while though(maybe once every 7 or 8 times we come to a stop)?

the problem is the carb slides, just turn your fuel screws out a 1/4 to 1/2 a turn more the problem goes away ,hope this helps.
