Friday my dad and a buddy of ours headed to Lake Champlain. We didnt hit a single bump along the way. The quality of the trail signing deteriorated as we headed west but the grooming was great! Northwest Riders trails were very good. I am glad I had a map. The junction numbers did NOT match up with the map though. The snow coverage was thin in St Albans area, but groomed just the same. Here is some pictures from the trip.

Derby's trails weren't too bad.

What a UNDERSTATEMENT !!!

On Wednesday, during the snowstorm, Yamadude and I were literally " Lost " in Newport. We Couldnt find the way over to Jay. So with the heavy snow and wind, we decided to head back to Driftduster teritory. We crossed the lake and found the same intersection twice. We stoped on the lake, consulted with a few Ice fishermen, and found 2 other riders heading towars Derby.

The 4 of us again tried and got turned around again.

We finally made it back. We decided to keep our riding Derby and east the rest of the time.

The map data is three years old.....just keep that in mind. No one can keep them accurate for more than a couple years. The worst is trails that are closed that still show on the map. Trail 136 hasn't been open for 4 years and it's still on the map!

Count your blessings that you did this trip last week, it may be a year before you can do it again.

I think there were a few signs posted that 105 or somthing is closed next year? A section of it ??

Nice pix and a cool ride. You don't hear of many riders who venture that far west.
