Full Version: z 120 help needed

I have a 2003 z120 that the govenor gear blew out of and the parts went between the cam gear and crank gear and broke the cam in half. It didn,t mess up the crank or bend the valves. Can the motor be put back together without the govenor gear or not ? I have read some things about doing this. Kid has been riding the sled for a few years and wanted to go faster so I put a govenor kit on it and this is what happens I am told. Should I just replace the motor with a hopped up one? What are the options of motors and where do I get one for a decent price? Kid loves to ride at night with lights does this limit my motor options?
