I believe the trail number is 5. Take the powerline , I believe is 102 down 1 way, and ride the pipe trail 5 back the other way, 2 way treat!!!

I believe most people refer to the pipeline as the section between Burke and the Lunenburg area. But it actually runs from Portland Maine to Montreal. Sections of it are also used in the Newport Center and Troy area. The trail also jumps on the pipeline for short distances in a few other places.

The pipeline is part of two trails. 2 and also 5. going from east to west it begins around EX641 which is 2 then it detours off the pipeline to EX61 where it changes to 5 which will work back onto the pipelins and runs until getting near Burke Hollow. This is a great ride. I was there last weekend and there were still a few open waterbars there so be careful. I'll be there on the 23rd.

Now in gereral the pipeline trail is a crude oil pipeline(actually 3 lines)buried in the ground that runs from Montreal to Portland ME. Its clear cut to a width of up to 100' wide in many spots, which in turn allows the groomers to groom double width and wider. It generaly runs thru the low lands and at times has problems with water bars. but once there is enough snow its a great hyway. It starts in Lancaster NH and runs up to Burke and picks up again in verious locations north.
I know becuse its in my back yard.
